December's Mindfulness Activity of the Month:
Mindful Observation
Pick a object or scenery within your immediate environment and focus your sense of sight.
Notice the object/scenery as a whole and any details within it.
Actively focus for a minute or two. This is not staring. You are actively trying to notice anything you can about what you're looking at.
If you have a thought that is unrelated, simply say to yourself "I just had a thought" and refocus your attention.
Focus for 1-2 minutes.
Practice this once daily for maximum benefit.
